A Greener Internet?

Everyone knows, or should know, that data centers consume massive amounts of electricity. Most of that electricity is actually used for climate control not actually powering the servers. Green Revolution Cooling claims they can reduce the energy costs of cooling server racks by 95%.

How? By dipping them in mineral oil of course.

The company's GreenDEF™ coolant is "electrically nonconductive" and can hold 1200 times more heat than air. This is pretty amazing, and there is something a little strange watching server run submerged in a bath.
