Radio Shack Catalogs

Radio Shack Catalogs - 8 Track

from Radio Shack Catalogs - 1975 catalog

Props to contributor Bob for submitting this site - Radio Shack Catalogs At Radio Shack Catalogs you can browse old Radio Shack catalogs from 1939 to 2005 (you probably guessed it was something like that from the name). It's a lot of geeky good fun to browse through the old catalogs and marvel at the prices of gadgets that are now "useless", like the "Stereo 8 Track player / Radio" for your car. Man it's been a long time since I've seen an 8 track. But I do remember them.

Perplexus Maze Game

Preplexus Maze Game

from Amazon.com

My nephew received this for Christmas, and it's quite addicting. It's a 3-D puzzle games that will drive you nuts, yet you won't be able to put it down until you solve it. Even then you won't put it down. The goal is to roll the small silver ball along the crazy paths by twisting, turning and flipping the Preplexus around. The path is numbered so you can figure out where to go - which it good, because some of the steps are quite tricky. I've seen it at Target and it's also available at Amazon. Around $20 - Ages 6 & up.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon – Remote Control

Remote Control Millennium Falcom

from Amazon.com

I originally saw this at a Target store before Christmas last year and added it to my wish list, but it sold out very quickly. It's currently available at Target.com for $49.99. It's a styrofoam model of the Millennium Falcon that really flies. I haven't had a chance to play with it, so I can't tell you how well it's made, but I have to expect you are paying more for the licensing to Lucas, than you are for top notch avionics. Recommended Ages 8 and up
